- Cook time: 40 min
- Servings: 4
Ingredients
- 1 Cup (stick) unsalted butter
- 2 Large eggs
- 2 Tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 Teaspoon salt
- 2 Cups whole milk
- 1 Cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 Teapsoon nutmeg
- Maple syrup
Directions
- Set oven to preheat 400 degrees F.
- While oven is heating up, mix dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl: flour, sugar, and salt.
- Add milk and eggs to dry ingredients and mix with a hand mixer.
- Once the oven has reached 400F, add one stick of butter into a 9x13 inch glass baking pan, then place it in the oven for a few minutes until the butter has completely melted. Avoid burning the butter by leaving it in the oven too long.
- Using heavy oven mitts, remove pan from oven and pour batter into hot pan containing melted butter.
- Bake for 40 minutes or until the pancake puffs up and is nicely browned.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle additional small amount of nutmeg over the top of of your kropsua.
- To serve, cut the pancake into squares. Top with maple syrup and serve immediately.
